About us
Lindsay & Co originally traded as a Blacksmiths in the early 1800’s before building and moving along to the current location in 1840. Since then the shop has traded continuously, serving the public of East Sutherland and the Highlands, and has passed through three generations of Lindsay's and is now into the fourth generation of the current owners - the Baddon family - who purchased the business in the 1930’s, having seen and weathered many changes in that time.
A second shop was added in 2003 with the purchase and conversion of the local Clydesdale Bank into what is now our Gifts & Cards shop, a stone’s throw across the road.
In addition we have a Showroom on Main Street for Garden Machinery and Garden Furniture.
We stock a wide range of products which has evolved over time, not so much as from a needle to an anchor but more like from a 6” nail to a piece of designer jewellery or the latest Lego set!! In fact, something for all the family, so why not call in and enjoy a very modern shopping experience.
