Cochrane's of Ayr

At the beginning of the month one of our member stores, Cochrane's of Ayr, had an open evening for the existing members of Home Hardware Scotland Ltd. Showcasing the hard work and progress they had made since moving to their new premises around 18 months ago. The family run business became a member of Home Hardware Scotland Ltd. almost 10 years ago, following a meeting with our previous CEO, the late Jim Ferguson.

The business was started in 1981 by Jim Cochrane (the current owners', Julie & Keith's Father) & has operated in various towns within Ayrshire, opening an additional store in Ayr in 1988, to add to their original branch in Irvine. They are now in their 4th location within the town. Most recently they moved from the Arran Mall to their current location in Cow Wynd.

The store is extremely well stocked with a large choice of items from kitchen accessories, household goods, and cleaning materials to gardening tools & machinery, and even domestic spare supplies for the keen DIY'er in the family.

Cochrane's of Ayr, also offer various in-store services including key cutting; GHD repairs; home delivery; furniture build services; Ecover refills; battery recycling; gift vouchers and is also part of the Home Hardware Loyalty Card scheme. They also offer Click & Collect from the Home Hardware Direct Website.

With a small team of 4 including owners Julie & Keith, they pride themselves on being a friendly, knowledgeable and helpful team. So why not pop in the next time you are in Ayr and pay Cochrane's of Ayr a visit.
