200 wax discs. For making homemade preserves. Pot the jam / preserve and cover with a wax disc. Do this whilst the preserve is piping hot or completely cold – to help exclude air and prevent deterioration. When the jam is fairly cold the jar should be topped with a damped cellophane disc and secured with an elastic band. The cellophane will shrink when it dries to create a tight seal over the jar.
