We are an independent family business with stores in North Berwick and Dunbar, selling a huge range of home and garden supplies at competitive prices.
We sell fuels including gas, coal, logs and in summer we stock a wide range of plants, compost, gravel and bark. We offer help, suggestions and direction, and our friendly and knowledgable team are happy to problem solve and guide customers when they come in for advice.
We have been a member of Home Hardware (Scotland) since 2000 and are able to pass on the benefits of membership to our customers.

A Brief History...
23 High Street has been an established Ironmongers since 1903. It is possible that the building was a hardware shop under as early as the 1820's. David's father, Lawrence Turnbull, bought over the business, changing the name to "Lawrence Turnbull" in January 1969. David came into the business in 1980 aged 17 and became a business partner in1981. A second Turnbull's premises was purchased in 1984, at 135 High Street Dunbar. The Dunbar store was refitted in 2007. The North Berwick garden shop, built in 1969, was rebuilt in 2010 and the shop refitted in 2014. In January 2019, Turnbull's Hardware, North Berwick, celebrated their 50 Year Anniversary as a family business.
